Should wealthy people pay more taxes then lower class people?

 I feel that that wealthier people should not have to pay more taxes than lower class people. Why I feel this way is what if the reason they are rich is to help certain medical groups or they might be helping people that might have gone though a earthquake or a tornado.  

 If we make them pay more they will not be able to help thous people or they might not be able to help the medical groups. Plus, I don't see why people think we should make wealthy people pay more because they are the same as us they just have more money. We should not treat them any different than how they treat us.
